AI Processing Intu AI is an AI-powered learning service. To generate tutoring responses, marking, quizzes and study materials, the text and files you submit (such as questions, answers and uploaded work), together with your first name and school year for personalisation, are processed by third-party artificial-intelligence providers, including Anthropic and Google. If you choose to use a speaking feature, your voice recordings are transcribed by OpenAI. To keep the Service safe, the text you submit to our chat features is also screened by a content-moderation provider (OpenAI). These are processing services accessed via their APIs; we do not permit your information to be used to train their models. We share only what is necessary to perform these functions.

Security We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Links to Other Sites Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children’s Privacy Intu AI is designed for school students, including children under 13. We collect a student’s date of birth to determine their age and apply age-appropriate protections. Students under 13 use Intu AI in a limited mode: they can use study tools, quizzes and practice exams, but chat-based tutoring (Ask) and the AI study coach are disabled for them. For students under 13 we collect only what is needed to provide the Service (name, email, date of birth, school year, and the work they submit for marking or study); a student’s date of birth is stored encrypted and is never visible to teachers or staff. Where required, we seek the consent of a parent or guardian for a child’s use of the Service. A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s Personal Information at any time by contacting us at privacy@intu.com.au.

Data Retention We retain Personal Information only for as long as is necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate educational, legal and safeguarding purposes, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to the Personal Information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, or to raise a privacy concern, contact us at privacy@intu.com.au. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
